According to Chinese Medicine acupuncture is a technique to Balance Qi or Life Force energy in the body to facilitate Homeostasis. However with more recent research we have found that. By Creating a Micro Trauma, with a needle at specific areas of the body, a “signal” is sent to the brain that then gives it information to increase the body’s ability to begin to heal a certain condition. The Brain then signals the body to act in a certain way, for example to send blood and nutrients to the area to reduce the inflammatory response. In this way Acupuncture increases the bodies healing ability and enhances its ability to function.
